Custom Clinical Kitting
Our custom clinical kitting service allows clients to work with us to design a tailor-made kit to meet their clinical sample collection needs. These kits, containing high-quality materials, are audited and quality-approved by our quality assurance team before being sent to clients. This ensures the materials you receive will be of the highest standard, meeting your clinical sample collection needs and adhering to the appropriate standard operating procedures or clinical requirements.
Custom Research Kitting
Our custom research kitting service allows clients to work with us to design a bespoke kit to meet their research sample collection needs, enabling compatibility with a broad range of research projects. Our research kits contain high-quality materials and are quality-approved by our kitting team before being delivered to clients.
Why Use Sampled’s Custom Clinical and Research Kitting Services?
Sampled’s custom clinical and research kitting services facilitate high-quality, stress-free sample collection, helping to streamline your sample collection processes and drive discoveries.
Quality-assured, user-friendly sample collection
All our kits are built using the highest quality materials from approved suppliers, and all our kits are valid for at least three months after you receive them, giving you time to collect all the required samples. This ensures that you are always working with high-caliber, in-date materials.
After a kit has been assembled, it is audited by an experienced member of our QA team (for clinical kits) or kitting team (for research-only kits), who will quality-check all kits before they are sent to our customers.
What’s more, we design our kits with our customers in mind – meaning our kits are super user-friendly and come with a simple, one-page instruction document complete with detailed images to ensure a seamless sample collection process.
Customizable, bespoke kits to meet your needs
At Sampled, we manufacture over 250 unique, custom-built sample collection kits to suit the specific research or clinical needs of each and every one of our clients. If you are unsure of your precise needs, one of our experienced team members will work with you to design a bespoke kit for your project – which we can send out as a demo kit to ascertain that it is precisely what you want before you invest.
Streamlined end-to-end service
All devices in Sampled collection kits are pre-barcoded to ensure an unbroken chain of custody from your lab to ours. Upon receipt, samples are inspected and imaged during accessioning, and their processing is tracked in real-time in our laboratory information management system using their barcodes. This not only streamlines and accelerates the entire process of sample collection, processing, and storage, but it also allows you to rest assured that your samples are in safe hands throughout the entire process and allows us to provide a truly end-to-end service to our customers.
We partner with many of the biggest couriers, including UPS, DHL, FedEx, and Biocare, and have established protocols to ensure samples get to their destination on schedule, so you don’t need to worry about a thing.
Protection of sample integrity
Our highly qualified team understands that different biological samples have different requirements – in terms of temperature, shipping conditions, and sample fragility. In line with this, our kits not only hold the samples, but they also protect them from damage. For samples with specific temperature requirements, we can supply and ship freezers, dry ice, and liquid nitrogen tanks ensuring your sample arrives in perfect condition.
Moreover, we deploy advanced semi- and fully automated processes that not only help protect sample integrity by retaining samples at their optimal conditions throughout the entire process but also help minimize costly errors and accelerate sample processing.
Custom Clinical and Research Kitting Services Applications
Our custom clinical and research kitting services are the starting point for all the storage and bioprocessing services we offer here at Sampled – meaning our kits are compatible with a broad spectrum of applications.
Moreover, our customizable kit service means that whatever the sample, we can design an appropriate kit to collect it. We are always happy to discuss a new custom kitting project with you and see how we can best meet your project needs.
- Clinical: we work with a broad range of clinical applications, from diagnostics to clinical trials and everything in between.
- Research: whatever your research needs, we can develop a sample collection kit to meet them.
How Does Sampled’s Custom Clinical and Research Service Work?
Custom kit development
The first step in a custom kitting order is the design of a kit. This involves one of our kitting experts facilitating the development of a kit to meet the needs of your specific samples and clinical or research requirements. The customer can then oversee every element of their kit and request any changes or specific components before the kit is assembled.
To ensure you are satisfied with your kit, we can send photos or provide a demo kit to test.
This process also involves a discussion of the timescales for the development and shipment of the kits, which can vary depending on the kit elements and the level of customization but can be as short as a 48-hour turnaround time following contract signing, where supplies are available in-house and ready to ship.
Client places order
Once a custom kit has been designed and approved by the client, the order is placed using our internal ordering system.
The kit is then assembled in our kitting facilities. This involves the barcoding of every device, which allows for full traceability of samples and ease of processing once samples are returned.
Before being sent out to clients, all our kits are subject to a rigorous quality assurance process. Research kits are audited by one of our kitting team members, while clinical kits are checked and given the seal of approval by our in-house quality assurance team.
Packaging and shipping
After the kits have been approved, they are packaged and shipped. We work with many of the biggest couriers, including UPS, DHL, FedEx and Biocare and have established protocols to ensure samples get to their destination promptly. Our logistics team deals with shipping, monitors delays, and resolves courier issues, so you don’t have to.
Once you receive your kit, it’s time to collect your samples. Simply follow the instructions on the one-page document included in your user-friendly kit for a seamless sample collection process.
Kits are returned
Once you have collected your samples, return your kits to us using our partner courier services. As with outbound shipping, our logistics team will arrange shipping for you and deal with any associated issues, so all you need to do is package your samples back into the box provided. We can supply freezers, dry ice, or liquid nitrogen tanks, ensuring sample integrity throughout transportation.
Samples are processed
When we receive your samples, we rapidly process them using the barcodes on the collection devices. They are then ready to be passed on to the relevant teams for bioprocessing or storage.
What are the Input Requirements for Custom Clinical and Research Kitting?
Sample collection is the first step of any bioprocessing workflow, and as a result, we can deal with any sample you need to send to us. We have a vast experience base in designing kits and processing a broad array of sample types, including:
- Tissue biopsies
- Cell line samples/pellets
- Protein samples
- Isolated nucleic acids (DNA/RNA)
