How Does Extraction Work?
Samples can be received at room temperature or frozen and can be sent directly for processing or sent to storage until the client tells us what extraction and analysis they want.
How the sample is processed will depend on the sample type and the timeline agreed with the client. At Sampled we have the capacity for the automated extraction from a large number of samples, as well as manual extraction where appropriate.
After extraction, nucleic acids are sent for quality control to ensure they are suitable for downstream analyses. DNA is sent for functional quality control as another step to ensure quality.
After QC our team can immediately take the sample forward for analysis or send it to storage. Alternatively, we can ship the sample to the client or to a third-party of the client’s choosing. Our logistics team can organize all of the shipping leaving you free to work on your project.
