Webinar: Biobanking to Identify and Validate Disease Biomarkers
May 4, 2022
Virtual

Title: Identifying and validating disease biomarkers to expedite development of therapeutics through flexible biobanking solutions
A major challenge in the development of treatments for rare diseases is the identification of effective therapeutics. This is dependent upon the utilization of appropriate outcome measures and biomarkers being successfully identified. However, biomarker identification for rare diseases requires accessibility to a high volume of samples that require more flexibility in collection and preparation. Collaboration amongst rare disease groups can expedite drug identification and development. Therefore, it is important to work with a biorepository partner that can meet flexibility requirements for sample storage, management, and transportation. Ideally, this partner needs to boast a long track record of providing sample processing and analysis services to both the commercial and academic communities.
This webinar will introduce the Sampled platform, which supports the discovery and therapy development efforts in human disorders by making cutting-edge genomics and cellular technologies accessible and affordable. How Sampled is uniquely positioned to aid in biomarker discovery will be discussed. Plus, discover how Sampled acts as a central hub for research in human disease by bringing together diverse research programs in areas, including psychiatric disorders, addiction, cancer, and rare diseases.
Key learning objectives
- See which tools and infrastructure are needed to support world-class biomarker discovery
- Learn the importance of centralized sample processing, storage, and distribution services in the development of solutions for critical health care issues
- Explore key similarities and differences in requirements between research use and clinical studies
- Examples will be presented illustrating how Sampled supports the discovery and therapy development efforts in human disorders by making cutting edge genomics and cellular technologies accessible and affordable.
